I always wanted to learn some spanish, but I could not spare time to put myself under a study routine until now. this is the time (: so, I urgently needed someone to teach me -at least- the basics of Spanish language.

I don't know if I can take group classes here in sofia, which also works for me. but I speak no bulgarian, so it's gotta be in english. I probably need to take private lessons.

in brief, I'm looking for someone who offers private instruction. it doesn't really matter if you are male or female. we'll discuss the tuition person to person. I'm sure we can agree on it.

if applicable, we can sit down with a cup of coffee and talk about the details. I am a canadian student at the University of Quebec in Montreal and I am participating in an international studies project that will take place in the Balkans region in May.

To better help us with our project and all that it requires (lodging, company information,etc), we are looking for a contact situated in Sofia, Bulgarie who would like to guide us in our search.

For example, in regards to our lodging reservation, if we are located in a good area and if we made a good selection.

Hairy Mary

Mary never cut her hair. So her hair grew
and grew, on her head, her arms, and her
legs. Some people called her Hairy Mary.
Mary did not like being called that, so she
did not like people who called her that
behind her back. Mary was so careful about
not being friends with people who called her
Hairy Mary that some called her Wary Hairy Mary.

Mary owned many cows that she milked to sell to people. There was lots of grass for her cows because Mary lived on the prairie next to the highway, but the pasture where her cows grazed was on the other side of a river. So Mary built a flat boat to carry her cows across the river called the Wary Hairy Mary Prairie Dairy Carry Ferry.

One day, Mary got the idea of using berries to flavor her milk. Soon her Wary Hairy Mary Berry Prairie Dairy Carry Ferry became famous. People always asked her to mix all kinds of different berries together with the milk. But Mary angrily said no, she only sold ordinary berry flavored milk.

Everybody liked her ordinary berry flavored milk, but people thought she was a little scary, and so some people called her Scary Wary Hairy Mary. This made Mary even madder, so sometimes Mary became very contrary and would not give them a ride on her ferry. So they started calling it the Very Contrary Scary Wary Hairy Mary Ordinary Berry Prairie Dairy Carry Ferry.

However, people soon discovered if you asked her very politely in a very gracious way to let you ride across the river, she would always let you ride. This is the ONLY legitimate international document proving student status. The ISIC entitles you to all discounts and conveniences available for students all over the world.

Eligibility Terms
The ISIC is issued to full-time students (including students at foreign universities), doctoral students, interns, post-graduate students, high-school students who have completed the 7th grade, and participants in educational courses (mostly language ones) organized by an accredited educational institution in the country or abroad, lasting at least 12 weeks, at an intensity of no less than 15 classes weekly.

Validity Term
September 1st to December 31st the following year, (i.e., from September 1st, 2002 to December 31st, 2003).

Documents Required for Obtaining an ISIC card
For students in Bulgaria: a certificate issued by the respective educational institution (уверение), OR a genuine student markbook (студентска книжка) along with copies of its first page and the page showing the last completed semester.
For students studying abroad: respective documents from university.
For high-school students: high-school identity card or certificate, a markbook.
For post-graduate and doctoral students: respective certificates of full-time education.
For language course participants: a document showing the course’s duration and intensity.
Please make sure to bring a recent photo, your passport, or an identity card.
